Project 2

This project was about creating a website for a client by applying all the skills that we have learned over the past 2-3 months. Besides, the skills in Photoshop and other necessary softwares from the past were also helpful. I used Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver to complete this project. As a CEO of JuDaYo Visions, it was my responsibility to plan things out for the clients and be in charge of everything. But, in our team, we had no CEO's, because in a "Team" there is no "I" so we all played separate roles but equally in creating the website. As a founder of this company, I had been interviewed by two designers from the other groups. During the interview, I was asked many questions about the purpose and contents of what my expectations were for the company's website. After my co-workers was done interviewing other clients, we had a meeting to plan about the websites that they need to make for the other groups. We started off drawing flowcharts and wire frames. Then we created images for the website and edited them in Adobe Photoshop. As a matter of fact, it took me a while to finish creating the "GameSphere" that my client had asked me to create because I put a lot of details in it to make it look realistic. And finally, we started coding the webpage.

We used JavaScript to create a image slide show of the different angle views of the "GameSphere" and also for buttons to buy the GameSphere. Also, we used lots of CSS for the layout of the webpage and other effects. Since our client's website was more of selling a product "GameSphere", there was not much to put in the website. So we decided to create just a single page with the bio about CEO of the Company and specifications of the product "GameSphere" itself. Lastly, we all sat together and reviewed the website to see if we were missing anything and then published it online. Just in addition to the softwares that we used, we also used MS Word to create wireframe and storyboard of the client's website.

As a result of completing the website, I learned how to work as a team and a leader to make a website for a client. Besides one of the lessons that I learned from this project was the importance of time management. Our client's website wasn't the best since we were lacking time and were not able to time manage things. This project is relevant to Web Designing because this is how the real world is and web-designers always needs to be able to work with anyone and confront all the new challenges that they face. In the future, I can use these skills I used when I need to create a website for a client based on what the client demands and be able to withstand all of the obstacles.
