Lab 27
This lab was about using on cue points to add popup in/out in the video to make it more creative and interesting. I used Adobe Flash for this lab. Firstly, I began by importing the interactive video from the previous lab (Lab#26) to the stage. Then, I took screenshots of the logos of the softwares and then imported it as a movie clip. After that, I then placed them onto the stage and gave instance name for each symbols. Next, I used code snippets "On Cue Point Event" to allow symbols to pop in and out whenever it is wanted. Lastly, I exported this lab to a swf file and put it into the webpage using DreamWeaver.
As a result of this lab, I learned how to create pop ins and outs using the code snippet "on cue points" and inserted them into my video. This skills can be helpful in the future when I need to use PopIn/out for my projects and presentation and also in my presentations in my workplace.

Project 6
This project was one of the most challenging and tedious projects out of all the stuffs that I have done for Web-design. In this Project, we had to create a Flash game using all of the skills that we learned doing labs in Flash which consisted of animations and ActionScripts. Well, my game is basically about placing the egg in the moving bowl at the perfect time in order to move up to another level. For more help about my game, there is a "how-to" button which proceeds to another scene where there are instructions and objectives about the game.
As a result of this project, I learned that creating a game is not at all easy like how I thought it would be. It looks easy when you play it but when it comes to coding, it requires a lot of thinking and planning. Also, you must view your game in a different perspective or let someone else test it in order to check what needs to be fixed and troubleshooted. This skills can be useful in the future for future projects and labs as well as for your workplace. One of the most challenging part of this project was coding because I'm not used to using ActionScript and since it was mostly about coding, it was a very tedious experience for me.

Lab 25
This lab was about taking the symbols and structures from the previous lab ( Lab 24 ) and creating it into a flash game. So in this lab I basically improvised my previous lab by adding obstacles and applying hit-boxes. This makes it a little challenging for the users to win the game. Firstly, I started by inserting all my symbols from the previous lab into the stage and creating obstacles. Then, I did the coding for the obstacles to put hit boxes and I also inserted action script so that the users can move the square and eventually win or lose the game. Finally, I wrapped up all my work by checking if the video game works by exporting it as a SWF and testing it.
By completing this lab, I learned the significance of action script in this lab because if there is even 1 single error, the whole game crashes. And I also learned to constantly save my work since it is very unpredictable so as to when Flash might crash. The most challenging part of this lab was when I had to insert hitboxes because it took me a little while figuring out what the coordinates of my obstacles were and it confused me a lot.

Period 2-3
Lab 24
This Lab was about creating buttons which corresponded with a movie clip. It's basically creating a simple flash mini game which consisted of four arrows with different functions. I used Adobe Flash to complete this lab. Firstly, I started off by drawing a square and a triangle, and converting them into different symbols; the triangle as a button and the square as a movie clip. After that, I copied the instance name for each and every symbol so that I don't get confused. Then, I started coding on the actions panel using the code snippet "click to position an object" and changing the number and instance name. To make it more fun, I also added the code snippet "Move with keyboard arrows" which allows you to move the square using the arrows on the keyboard. Lastly, I exported the SWF file of this lab and inserted it into the webpage using DreamWeaver.
As a result of this lab, I learned a little about how action script works and familiarized myself with it. This skills can be useful in future when I need to create labs and projects using which requires us to create animations and games. In addition, it will also you to show your creativeness, imaginations and your interest in this specific topic.
